LINCOLN SQUARE

DAN'S NEIGHBORHOOD OUTLOOK

DINING & LEISURE
Lincoln Square has a delightful combination of old and new. Lincoln Square Proper – the neighborhood's center around Lincoln Avenue – has a lovely heritage-rich feel, with a plethora of traditional dining and entertainment options. Some of my favorites are Pannenkoeken Café, Huettenbar and Merz Apothecary.

One of the most unique attractions in Lincoln Square is the Davis Theater. It's a century-old movie theater that was recently restored to showcase its beautifully vintage aspects, like hand-painted ceilings and hidden organ pipes.
LOCATION & CONVENIENCE
Getting to the Loop from Lincoln Square by public transportation takes about 40 minutes, and getting to O'Hare takes about an hour. Without traffic, a drive to the Loop or O'Hare takes about 20 minutes.

Lincoln Square is extremely walkable, especially central Lincoln Square. Most errands are easily completable without a car by staying in the neighborhood.
