SHOPPING & LEISURE
My favorite unique part of Lakeview is the Belmont Theater District. It's the largest theater district in Chicago, with more than 50 theaters walking distance of each other. You can really find some excellent live theater there at any time. If you prefer cinema, the Music Box Theater is an absolutely gorgeous movie theater built in 1929.

There are also a bunch of independent live music venues around Lakeview, like Schubas Tavern, which was built over a century ago. If you really love music, Chicago Music Exchange is great place to find a vintage guitar.

LOCATION & CONVENIENCE
Taking public transportation from Lakeview to the Loop takes about 30 minutes, and getting to O'Hare takes about 50 minutes. A car ride to the Loop or O'Hare takes about 20 minutes, without traffic.

Public transportation in Lakeview is excellent, and it's very walkable and bikeable. In general, daily errands are easily completable without a car.

Homes in Lakeview are generally more affordable than those in nearby neighborhoods.
